UKAHFT 2010 News

Congratulations to Team Meon who won at Round 2 UKAHFT 2010 at Bisley with a score of 286, Top 5 scores were, Vince Blackman (58), Darrell Waite (58), Mike Elliott (57), Roy Oliphant (57) and Dave Hatfield (56), well done to the rest of the team for your effort and determination, lets hope we can carry on - Congratulations from your proud team Captain! :-)

WHFTA 2010 News

This years worlds championship saw Meon having a fair few good results at Kelmarsh.

Results saw Steph taking the Ladies title in 2010 with a total score of 110, with Janine Travers in 2nd with 107.

Mike Elliott went through a shoot off for 12th place taking 14th in the placings with 110 and bringing home a trophy for Team Walther who won the manufacturers.

Darrell Waite pulled out a performance in the shoot off to take 7th in the Open and a trophy for team Daystate with a total of 111.

Rachel Waite finished 5th in the Ladies class with 102 and Vince Blackman finishing with a better score on the 2nd day to take him to an overall score of 107.

Rik Travers finished on 93, Colin Medway 86, Roy Oliphant 96.

Additionally, a mention for Steve Lanyman who shoots for the UK team finished 4th Overall with a score of 112.

UKAHFT Honors

Big Congratulations to all the members who took part in this years UK's, and as we are now UK affiliated we will be entering a team into the UK's next year.

How Meon Members faired in the 2009 UKAHFT 

Vince Blackman- finished narrowly outside the top 10 in 11th, after a great shoot at Emley Moor to push him up the ranks again with a 100%

Mike Elliott - After finishing 8th in 2008, we had a few equipment issues, however Mike still managed to maintain focus and pull off some great scores this year.

Steph Kirkwood- UKAHFT Top Lady for 2009, 12th Overall, with a 2nd and 4th at Tawd and Rivi in the Overall.

Darrell Waite - Finished 10th Overall, after a solid performance through the year.

Rachel Waite- 1st in the Overall At Basingstoke.

Janine Travers- Good Solid start to the First UK year... one Lady to watch for the future.

Rik Travers- Improving all the time... look forward to his scores improving in next years UK's.

Roy Oliphant - Great 56 at Quarry R8, in a tough course to get his Gold.

Dave Tucker - First taste of UKAHFT at Quarry R8.

Dave Winter- First taste of UKAHFT at Lea Valley R1.

Club News

Hen Wood is accesible to use with a key holder all year round... please speak to an established club member if you would like to shoot up there, Wallops Wood is out of bounds after the 16th August until November whilst the Pheasants are down and at their most vunerable.
